Three Idiots is the tentative title for Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. The film is based on a famous novel, Five Point Someone by Indian writer Chetan Bhagat. However, the story is completely different but will be set in an engineering college. Vidhu Vinod Chopra will be producing the film whilst Abhijat Joshi and Raju Hirani have written the screenplay. The film’s soundtrack will be composed by Shantanu Moitra with lyrics penned by Swanand Kirkire.
RajKumar Hirani’s proposed film, based on Chetan Bhagat’s book, Five Point Someone is finally set to roll. The working title decided for the film is Three Idiots. After much speculation, Hirani has finally managed to get his cast together.
Hirani has signed Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Boman Irani and Kareena Kapoor for his film. It will be remembered that Hirani went through many hitches before he could finally sign on his current cast of players. Initially Shah Rukh Khan was to do the role which has now gone to Aamir. Due to certain problems, one of which was SRK wanting to produce the film as well, it didn’t work out. In between, one even heard of Ranbir Kapoor being signed on by Hirani. But now all rumours have been set to rest with the cast and the working title of the film being finalized. The film will of course be produced by by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has produced the earlier Munnabhai series directed by Hirani as well. The film’s story is based on the prevalent education system in our country. Three Idiots is based in an engineering college. The film is scheduled to hit the floors in the last quarter of the year.
This one’s surely one of the biggest attractions of 2009. Superstar of perfection Aamir Khan joining hands with creative-n-commercial genius director Raj Kumar Hirani is a momentous event in itself. Hugely talented Kareena Kapoor finally manages to live-her-dream of working with Aamir after the hiccups of Mr Mehta and Mrs Singh and Lajjo. Sharman Joshi, Madhavan and Boman Irani are super-kicked about this Vidhu Vinod Chopra Production. Bestselling Author Chetan Bhagat admitted to us that the film is based on his novel Five Point Someone but a representative from the Production house denied the same. Nevertheless it’s one of the most eagerly awaited films of year 2009.

Shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan Together Rare Unseen Picture
Aamir Khan is being asked quite a few repeated questions these days, some are all about Ghajini and others are about SRK, and our perfectionist Khan loves to answer them wittily.
Recently when Aamir was asked wether a SRK-Aamir movie is a possibility, to which he replied, Of course, it is! I am open to working with SRK. I have no problems. Only thing, the script has to do justice to the two actors. I’m sure there’re a lot of capable directors who’d be interested in signing this combination,’ he states. Any director who can get this dream cast together? ‘Oh yes, Mani Ratnam, Ashutosh Gowariker, Farhan Akhtar, there’re so many talented names out there. I’m game to work with a new director as well if he has the right script.”
The latest bolllywood gossip is that Aamir has again went ahead to make indirect comments at his fellow friend - SRK. He says, “For me Amitabh Bachchan is No 1. Do Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan say they are number one? No one who sits on the top needs to say he is number one. Others keep claiming to be there.” When questioned about SRK calling himself the biggest brand, he says, “I don’t believe in competitions with others. I only compete with myself.” He ends on the note that he cannot fight SRK, saying, “Do you think I could dare to fight with Shah Rukh. He is a good friend and so I can’t fight with him. I respect him a lot.”
Talking about his next upcoming movie Three Idiots, he says, “My forthcoming film after Ghajini is Rajkumar Hirani’s Three Idiots and I play the character of an idiot with R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. But I think Shah Rukh, Salman and I are truly the three idiots of Bollywood.”
